Mozillion’s headline feature is its ‘Kill Your Bill’ scheme, which lets you buy shopping vouchers from its app, and then reduce your bill when you use those vouchers – with many customers paying nothing at all for their plan.
But even without that, Mozillion is an affordable and good value network, and because it uses EE’s infrastructure, it has impressive 5G coverage and speeds.
There are no speed caps either, and you can get up to unlimited data. The network also doesn’t carry out credit checks on its SIM Only plans, and it promises no mid-contract price rises.
Aside from its Kill Your Bill scheme detailed above, Mozillion also supports Wi-Fi Calling, 4G Calling, tethering, and eSIMs.
Plus, Mozillion also sells travel eSIMs. These are a separate offering to its standard SIM Only plans, and are designed to provide affordable allowances for trips abroad.
Assuming you purchase one of Mozillion’s standard SIM Only plans rather than one of its travel eSIMs, you’ll be able to roam at no extra cost in 41 European destinations.
There is a fair usage limit for data, with the maximum monthly allowance varying depending on your plan, but at the time of writing the highest possible value is 25GB.
Mozillion allows you to tether (also known as a personal hotspot), meaning you can use your phone’s connection to broadcast a Wi-Fi network for other devices to connect to. The only limit is your data allowance – and a fair usage limit of 500GB if you have unlimited data.
Taking your number with you to Mozillion is easy. The first step is to get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from the network you plan to leave. To do this, just text ‘PAC’ to 65075 from the number that you want to keep. You’ll then receive your PAC code in response.
Once you have this, place an order for the Mozillion plan you want, and during the checkout process, tick the option to keep your number, and enter your PAC code.
Alternatively, you can transfer your number after you’ve received your Mozillion SIM card, by logging in to your Mozillion account, and finding the option in the ‘Edit My Plan’ section.
Assuming you don’t request an eSIM, you’ll be sent a 3-in-1 combi SIM, containing standard, micro, and nano SIM card sizes. In most cases it’s the smallest of these (the nano one) that you’ll want. But if in doubt, simply compare the sizes to your old SIM card, and pop out the correct one.
