EE have remastered an old YouTube video into one suitable to take advantage of its new 4GEE mobile network. As the new 4GEE mobile network runs at speeds of up to five times faster than when the original was shot, EE decided to recreate a HD version for its 4G customers to enjoy.
The original video featured “Fenton” the Labrador and has now been remastered into a full HD version. The original video had over 7.5 million hits and was shot by a 13 year old boy on his 3G phone. The new HD version for EE was produced by 3-time Emmy award-winning Director David Allen.
4G.co.uk think EE has lost the plot. The original Fenton video was shot on a 3G mobile phone yet the new version is shot on – we don’t know. Yes we realise the idea is to let EE 4G customers see how fast they can download a full HD video but how much better this would have been if EE could say the HD video was shot on a 4G phone.
