These days you can get a lot more with your mobile plan than just allowances – you can also get premium perks, including subscriptions to streaming services.
However, these top-tier perks are only available on certain networks, and even then, usually only on certain plans. So below, we’ve detailed which streaming services are available as a free extra on plans, and which network and plan you need to choose to get them.
Netflix

| Netflix Subscription | Network | Plan type required |
|---|---|---|
| Netflix Standard | EE | All Rounder plans |
| Netflix Premium | EE | Full Works plans |
If you want a subscription to Netflix thrown in with your mobile plan then you’ll have to sign up with EE, which gives you Netflix Standard with adverts on its All Rounder plans and Netflix Premium on its Full Works plans. Or rather, Netflix is one of several extras you can choose between.
The subscription is included for the duration of your contract, and you can get these plans with a phone, on SIM Only, or with a tablet or laptop.
Amazon Prime

| Network | Plan type required |
|---|---|
| Vodafone | Entertainment plans |
| O2 | Classic (3 months), Plus (6 months) and Ultimate Plans (contract duration) |
Both Vodafone and O2 sell plans that include a subscription to Amazon Prime – which includes various perks, but our interest here is the video streaming component.
On Vodafone, you need to choose a plan that says it comes with ‘Entertainment’, and then Amazon Prime will be one of the options you can choose.
You can get ‘Entertainment’ plans on SIM Only, or on pay monthly with a phone, and you’ll get the subscription included for the life of the contract.
On O2, Amazon Prime is available with Classic, Plus, and Ultimate plans. So that’s most of the network’s plan types, but the duration differs, with Classic plans including the subscription for three months, Plus plans for six months, and Ultimate plans for the duration of the plan.
These plans are available with a phone, on SIM Only, or with a tablet or laptop. Though note that at the time of writing, when taking a Classic plan with a tablet or laptop, you seem to be limited to a Disney+ subscription instead (more on which below).
Disney+

| Network | Plan type required |
|---|---|
| Vodafone | Entertainment plans |
| O2 | Classic (3 months), Plus (6 months) and Ultimate Plans (contract duration) |
As with Amazon Prime, Disney Plus is also available as an optional extra with both Vodafone and O2, and the availability of this service is much the same as that of Prime.
In other words, on Vodafone you need to pick an ‘Entertainment’ plan to go along with your SIM Only allowances or phone contract, and then select Disney+. Do that and you’ll get it thrown in for the life of the contract.
On O2, you can get it for three months if you select a Classic plan, six months with a Plus plan, or the life of the contract with an Ultimate plan.
Whether through Vodafone or O2, this is Disney+ Standard that you’ll be getting – unless you pick an Ultimate plan on O2, in which case you can get Disney+ Premium.
Apple TV

| Network | Plan type required |
|---|---|
| EE | All Rounder or Full Works plans |
If Apple TV is more your speed then it’s EE that you’ll want to go with, as this network offers Apple TV as an optional ‘Inclusive Extra’ on its All Rounder plans. Or – if you choose a Full Works for iPhone plan – you can opt for Apple One, which gives you a subscription to Apple TV alongside other perks.
These plans are available on SIM Only, with a phone, or even with a tablet or laptop, and your Apple TV subscription will last for the lifetime of the contract. Note though that if pairing one of these plans with a device, you might find Apple TV is only an option if the device is made by Apple.
Paramount+

| Network | Plan type required |
|---|---|
| Three | Value or Complete plans |
For a free Paramount+ subscription, you’ll need to sign up with Three, and specifically you’ll need either a Value plan or a Complete plan.
If you pick a Value plan then you’ll get the subscription thrown in for half the length of the plan, while on a Complete plan you’ll get it for the full duration.
These plans are available on SIM Only, or with a phone, a tablet, or a laptop.
TNT Sports on Discovery+

| Network | Plan type required |
|---|---|
| EE | Full Works plans |
Finally, there’s TNT Sports on Discovery+, and this once again requires an EE plan to get for free. Or more specifically you need a Full Works or Full Works for iPhone plan – so in other words this is only included with EE’s most expensive plans.
Those types of plans can be had on SIM Only, with a phone, or with a tablet or laptop, and you’ll get the TNT Sports on Discovery+ subscription included for the full duration if you pick that as your ‘Inclusive Extra’.
