Vodafone 4G has moved Kingsteignton into the fast lane

23rd February 2017

Vodafone 4g coverage

The South Devon town of Kingsteignton should now be a whole lot faster, at least for mobile data on the Vodafone network, as the company has rolled out its 4G service in the area.

Work started at the beginning of February according to the Exeter Express and Echo, so you can likely feel the changes now, but if not you’re sure to get a speed boost soon.

It’s an upgrade that will make everything easier and faster on mobile, from web browsing and social media, to uploading photos, downloading apps, and streaming HD videos and music.

It will also prove transformative for anyone who has to work on the move – or wishes they could, as you’ll no longer be limited to Wi-Fi connections or sluggish 3G.

The addition of Vodafone 4G in Kingsteignton will leave the town in a strong mobile position too, as EE and O2 already have good 4G coverage in the town, whether you’re indoors or outdoors, and even Three has some 4G, with decent outdoor coverage but more variable indoors.

For Vodafone customers, the recent upgrade work will also improve 2G and 3G signals, so you’ll benefit even if you don’t use 4G.

The roll out from Vodafone follows recent 4G upgrades in Penrith, Troon, Milford Haven and Blandford Forum, and the network isn’t stopping there – it already has around 88% UK population coverage with 4G and it’s working towards at least 98%.

Right now Vodafone’s 4G coverage is second only to EE’s, and it’s likely only a matter of time before it catches up with the market leader, especially as it’s expecting to spend around £2 billion on its network and services over the next three years.
