The Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE Preview

The Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE is a 4G Ready phone and is the latest version of the Samsung Galaxy and the first in the range to offer 4G LTE. The Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE will offer download speeds of five times faster than the Samsung Galaxy SIII on a 3G network.

This is obviously the main selling point of the Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE and we here at 4G will be undertaking our Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE review in the near future. For the time being we will look at what the Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE offers.

The No 1 selling point for the Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE must be that it is a 4G Ready phone and that means it will offer download speeds of up to 8-12Mb/sec ( with a theoretical maximum of 40Mb/sec ) and upload speeds of speeds of up to 5-6Mb/sec ( with theoretical maximum of 15Mb/sec ) when connected to a 4G network. EE ( Everything Everywhere – which owns Orange and T-Mobile ) is the only UK mobile operator to offer 4G services starting on the 30th October and will have an exclusive position until other networks launch 4G around June 2013

The Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE comes in three colours : Pebble Blue, Marble White or Titanium Grey. The Titanium Grey is an exclusive colour via EE. A Garnet Red version will be available via the Carphone Warehouse. 2 more colours will arrive before Xmas and these are Sapphire Black and Amber Brown.

The Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE comes with a new 4G chip and aerial to enable it to work on both 3G networks and 4G networks yet still manages to weigh only 131 grams and measures only 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm.

It comes with Android OS 4.1 Jellybean, is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad Core Processor and 16GB Memory, a Micro SD card slot (up to 64GB) and 50GB Dropbox cloud storage with EE.

The display screen is a 4.8 HD Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen whilst the rear camera is 8 mega-pixels and also comes with a 1.9 mega-pixel front facing camera plus LED flash.
