Nokia Lumia 830 – 4G Phone

Nokia Lumia 830 Review

Nokia Lumia 830 Intro

The Nokia Lumia 830 is being dubbed as the first ‘affordable flagship’ Lumia and it almost lives up to that billing thanks to a big screen, premium design and impressive camera.

The Nokia Lumia 830 is out now with a SIM free price of £319. A full specification for the Nokia Lumia 830 is detailed below.

Nokia Lumia 830 Features

The Nokia Lumia 830 certainly looks like a flagship, thanks to a metal frame and fairly slim 8.5mm thick build. The back is polycarbonate but then it is on actual Lumia flagships too, so that doesn’t give the game away.

The screen is impressively large as well at 5.0 inches, though its 720 x 1280 resolution isn’t quite flagship worthy. On almost any non-Lumia the 10 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with optical image stabilisation would be a highly impressive feature too. As Lumia’s are known for their cameras it’s not so surprising, but it’s still a strong point.

The 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM that keeps everything ticking along could do with a boost but performance is still generally smooth and with Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Denim on board you can enjoy Cortana, Action Centre and a bunch of camera modes.

All in all this isn’t quite a flagship, but you could easily convince someone it was and it won’t leave quite as big a hole in your wallet as most truly high end phones.
