Nokia Lumia 625 Review
|Our Nokia Lumia 625 Review concluded “The Nokia Lumia 625 is an awkward handset. It has a big screen but the resolution just doesn’t cut it. Beyond that it’s basically just a Nokia Lumia 620 with a slightly faster processor”.|

Nokia Lumia 625
Specifically it has a 4.7 inch 480 x 800 display, but with a pixel density of just 199 pixels per inch the Nokia Lumia 625 is far from being high resolution.
Its build is just as plastic (and just as colourful) as other Lumia’s, leaving it looking a little cheap, but it is at least sturdy.
The Nokia Lumia 625 runs Windows Phone 8. It has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and just 512MB of RAM, but it rarely feels sluggish in use. Its 8GB of built in storage won’t go far, but thankfully it also has a micro SD card slot, allowing you to expand that by up to 64GB more.
On the photography front the Nokia Lumia 625 has a 5 megapixel camera which can also shoot 1080p video at 30fps, alongside a secondary VGA front facing camera. Overall it’s not great for photography but it’s comparable with most other phones in its price range.
The Nokia Lumia 625 has a 2000 mAh battery, which given the low specs of the phone is enough to keep it going for over a day of moderate use. In fact it’s rated for up to 552 hours of standby time or up to 15 hours and 10 minutes of talk time.
For connectivity options the Nokia Lumia 625 has 3G and 4G LTE support as well as Bluetooth 4.0, however there’s no NFC.
Nokia Lumia 625 Release Date & Price
The Nokia Lumia 625 is out now and available in orange, green, yellow, black or white from around £250. That makes it significantly more expensive than the Nokia Lumia 620 and actually more in line with the Nokia Lumia 820 despite having quite modest specs. That can be explained by the large screen size and the fact that it supports 4G.
On a 24 month 4G contract it can be found from £38 per month with no upfront cost on Vodafone or from £32 with no upfront cost from O2, while EE carry it from £31 per month with no upfront charge.
On a 24 month 3G contract the Nokia Lumia 625 is available from around £21 per month with no charge for the handset.
