Vodafone 4G is live in Bletchley and headed to rural Wales

There’s good news if you live in Bletchley, as Vodafone has recently finished rolling out its 4G service to the town.

The upgrade, reported by MKCitizen, allows Vodafone customers in Bletchley to access much faster mobile data, often rivalling Wi-Fi speeds, so they can stream, browse and download faster than ever when out and about.

In total Vodafone has now brought 4G to 871 larger cities, towns and districts, along with thousands of smaller communities, with other recent additions including Dursley and Blyth, but it’s not stopping there, with the historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in Gwynedd soon set to get a 4G upgrade too, according to the Daily Post.

Blaenau Ffestiniog, like many rural locations, has long suffered from poor mobile signal, so this improvement work should be well received.

Bletchley already has 4G coverage from EE, O2 and Three, so with Vodafone’s roll out all four major UK mobile networks now have 4G coverage in the town.

Blaenau Ffestiniog meanwhile should benefit enormously from Vodafone’s 4G roll out, as no UK networks currently offer 4G in the town.

Still, if you’re not on Vodafone you might not be out of luck for long, as EE, O2 and Three, along with Vodafone, are all working to rapidly increase their 4G coverage, with each network ultimately aiming for at least 98% UK population coverage – so hopefully more 4G will be coming to Blaenau Ffestiniog soon.
