Samsung Galaxy Express - Handy Mid Range 4G Phone

4th February 2013
Samsung Galaxy S III features DC-HSPA.

Welcome to the new mid-range Samsung Galaxy Express, unveiled by Samsung as the newest member of their exceptional Galaxy range of smartphones and aimed at those who want 4G connectivity at an affordable price.

Samsung Galaxy Express Specification

Interestingly the mid-range Galaxy Express either matches or outranks the original flagship Samsung I9008 Galaxy S by some margin, with a 4.5 inch 800 x 480 pixel Super AMOLED screen to offer great definition whilst keeping costs down, a 1.2 Ghz Dual-Core processor, 1GB of RAM and it comes pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean, offering superb speed and efficiency.

The Galaxy Express also comes with a fairly standard 8GB of onboard memory and sports a microSD slot to allow memory expansion. Look out for the rear facing 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash and a front facing 1.2 mega-pixel camera for video calls. Needless to say, the phone comes pre-loaded with all the normal Android apps, such as S-Beam and Allshare

.

Where the Galaxy Express really scores for a mid-range smartphone is on connectivity, supporting 4G, 3G, WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy Express hasn’t been given a launch date yet but we expect it to be soon, and hopefully it’ll be available in the UK too, although this is currently unconfirmed. We remain quietly confident, but no promises.

As far as price goes we’re expecting it to be around the £250 mark, significantly down on its big brothers and affordable for a wider range of users. As soon as we know more we’ll feed the info straight back to you here, so keep looking.
