Public sector benefits from its own 4G tariff
Following confirmation that it is the first mobile operator to achieve the secure and government-approved network certification (CAS(T)), O2 has announced the launch of its No.10 tariff to further support public sector and third sector organisations.
The tariff, which despite its name is available to the entire public and third sectors, not just David Cameron and his cabinet, has a flat rate of £10 per month per connection and includes either a Nokia Lumia 635 or a Samsung Galaxy S3 with unlimited calls, unlimited texts and up to 5GB of 4G data, so it’s certainly good value and makes it simple and affordable for organisations to manage.
Plus by including 4G data it makes employees more productive and able to get things done even when away from the office.
Billy D’Arcy, MD of Public Sector Business at O2 commented: “We recognise the increasing pressure on the Public and Third sectors to save money and increase productivity, and the No.10 proposition has been built to respond to these exact two things.
“By giving public sector workers access to the latest digital technology, we can ensure that citizens are being served by the Government in the best possible way. For example, by giving doctors the technology to deliver remote diagnoses to patients or by delivering vital information to citizens through new channels, such as mobile apps.”
Customers who sign up for the No.10 tariff will also be supported with a fully verified data wipe of existing handsets as well as the option to recycle old devices and a seamless transition to the new service. There’s also complete flexibility over the number of connections under the contract, it’s simply an extra £10 per month for each additional one.
It’s a 24 month contract and at the end of that period customers can keep on using the service or terminate it without penalty.
