O2 4G is on its way to Nuneaton

If you’re an O2 4G customer in Nuneaton there’s good news on the way, as the network is in the process of upgrading its infrastructure in the area to roll out 4G, as well as improving its 2G and 3G coverage.

The news was brought to our attention by a reader who checked the service status in the area and discovered that O2 was carrying out the above work.

The downside to this improvement work is that there could be signal disruptions while it’s being carried out (though at time of writing O2 reports that its network is running fine). If you do find yourself unable to call or text over the next few days you can always make use of O2’s TU Go app, to call and text over Wi-Fi instead of the mobile network.

There’s no O2 4G in Nuneaton just yet and it’s not clear exactly when the improvement work will be completed, but as it’s started it shouldn’t take long.

Once O2 4G is up and running customers will be able to do more from their phone when away from a Wi-Fi connection, with streamed music and video now a real option, downloads and uploads happening far faster and a generally slicker, more pleasant mobile data experience.

EE and Three already have partial 4G coverage in the area, so soon it will just be Vodafone with none and sadly the network has no upgrades planned in the region over the next few months, so if you’re a Vodafone customer in Nuneaton you may have a while to wait yet.
