Looking back at the articles 4G have posted to-date for the LG Optimus G2
which included a leaked photo, a video mention and a partial Optimus G2 specification, we expected to hear that the 4G enabled smartphone would be announced at Mobile World Congress ( MWC ) in Barcelona next month.
This now appears to be off the mark as CNET claim the G2 will not be launched until as late as June which means that it would launch a whole year after the original Optimus G1. 4G.co.uk note that LG did not launch any 4G phones or tablets at CES earlier this month and are as far as we are aware have none planned to be unveiled at MWC.
4G know that CNET are one of the most reliable sources around so we fully expect the LG Optimus G2
to be announced at MWC with an “in-store” date of sometime around May / June this year. This must surely happen as nothing else has leaked from LG with regard to other new 4G phones or tablets.
The specification for the 4G enabled Optimus G2 is that it will come with Android Key Lime Pie ( Android 5 ), a 5 inch touchscreen with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels) which features a bezel less design. The main processor will be a 2 GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm processor which will be supported by 3GB of RAM.
The Optimus G2 has previously been reported as also coming with a 13 megapixel main camera and 4G connectivity. More as soon as MWC gets underway ?
