EE Appoints Two 4G MVNOs

6th December 2012

EE has signed up two Mobile Virtual Network Operators ( MVNOs ) who will soon be able to offer their customers 4G mobile services. EE ( formerly Orange and T-Mobile ) launched 4G in the UK at the end of October and say Talk Home Mobile and White Mobile are the company’s first MVNOs.

Talk Home Mobile and White Mobile can offer 2G and 3G mobile services and will be able to offer 4G services sometime in 2013. The 3G service will be provided by EE’s fully HSPA+ enabled network and 4G via its 4G LTE network. EE also confirmed that they intend to offer 4G via more MVNOs in 2013.

Talk Home will offer 2G, 3G and 4G services to the ethnic market in the UK via SIM only deals and customers will be able to to purchase bundles of minutes at calling card rates with its Talk Home Branded SIM supplied by EE.

White Mobile will also offer 2G, 3G and 4G services to the ethnic market in the UK via SIM only deals. Their SIM card will be branded the White International Calling Card. Both Talk Home and White Mobile will offer 4G services at very competitive rates.

Graeme Hutchinson, co-founder of White Mobile, said:  "We're delighted to be working with EE to offer White Mobile customers superb network quality and reliability, coupled with exceptional value UK and international calls and texts. Our aim is to inspire UK consumers with fresh belief in the value of straight forward pay as you go services and having a network like EE behind us will be key to this."

4G.co.uk see the MVNO route as another useful outlet for EE to gain 4G market share as the above MNVNOs may well offer 4G SIM only deals well before Vodafone, O2 and Three are able to launch 4G themselves.
