Vodafone brings affordable 4G roaming to ever more locations

3rd June 2015

Vodafone brings 4G roaming to new destinations

Three’s Feel At Home service might impress for being completely free of charge, but Vodafone has a roaming service too and while it’s not free it is cheap, covers more destinations and allows for 4G roaming.

It’s also about to get a whole lot better as from the 15th of June 22 new destinations will be added to the 8 already available on Vodafone WorldTraveller (which allows customers to use their minutes, texts and data abroad for £5 per day).

The new destinations include various Caribbean islands, with the full list of WorldTraveller locations from mid-June being as follows: Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Island, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Egypt, El Salvador, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, India, Jamaica, New Zealand, Panama, Qatar, South Africa, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands and the USA.

That’s on top of all Vodafone’s EuroTraveller destinations which cost just £3 per day for when you’re travelling closer to home.

This list isn’t changing right now, but includes Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey), Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark (incl. Faroe Islands), Estonia, Finland, France, French West Indies, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy (incl. Vatican City & San Marino), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Northern Cyprus, Norway, Poland, Portugal (incl. Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (incl. Canary Islands), Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

In all Vodafone customers will be able to roam in more than 60 international destinations from the 15th of June. It’s worth noting though that 4G speeds aren’t available in all destinations, but they are in many. 58 in fact, which is more than any other UK network.

As well as adding new locations to the mix Vodafone is also opening up its WorldTraveller and EuroTraveller services to mobile broadband customers, so if you have a tablet, dongle or data SIM you’ll be able to make use of your 4G data abroad too.

Whatever type of device you have though just remember to opt in to the service, as it’s not automatic.
