Overview

LG X Screen

LG tends to pack innovative features into its flagships, but sometimes those features make it to other phones too, as is the case with the LG X Screen, a cheaper take on the LG V20, complete with a tiny secondary display above its main one, that’s always on, displaying the time, remaining battery and any notifications.

It’s a useful, unusual feature that very few other phones have, and while this is the standout aspect of the LG X Screen (and the reason for its name) it’s not the only reason to buy the phone.

The LG X Screen also has a compact 4.93-inch 720 x 1280 main display. Coupled with the 1.76-inch secondary screen it’s not a small phone overall, but nor is it too much of a handful. It’s a good balance, where LG’s other dual-screen phones are arguably too big.

Another highlight of the LG X Screen is its camera, as the phone has both a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing one. Those are both high spec for an affordable handset, but the front snapper is particularly impressive, as even many flagships have just 5MP front-facing cameras. And with a face-detecting auto shot mode you don’t even need to press a button to take selfies.

The LG X Screen also has quite a stylish look, with a glass back making it as eye catching from behind as the two screens do from the front.

With a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a sizeable 2300mAh battery too this phone is far more than just a one trick pony.
