Overview

HTC One

The HTC One was a landmark phone for HTC, and still stands up as a stunning piece of handset design. It was the first of HTC’s phones to have the now near-iconic curved metal unibody, and it remains one of the best looking phones around.

And that’s not the only thing to love about the phone. It also has BoomSound speakers, delivering stereo sound that’s crisp, loud and more bass-heavy than a smartphone is typically capable of. But it also improves audio through headphones, making this a brilliant phone for music and videos.

That’s further helped by the sharp 4.7-inch 1080 x 1920 screen, which is relatively compact by modern standards but plenty big enough to comfortably watch and play on.

The HTC One also has an innovative camera. It might sound low-spec at 4MP, but these are Ultrapixels we’re talking about, which are larger, meaning they can take in more light, ensuring low-light shots look superb.

The HTC One also has what was for the time a top-tier, flagship spec, with a Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM. That’s not top of the range any more, but it’s still enough for speedy performance, and the phone is now cheaper than ever.
