News leaked of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z last week. Sony has now officially announced it and we note its their first 4G tablet and falls into the category of a premium tablet device. 4G is very keen to get our hands on this one to carry out our Sony Xperia Tablet Z Review . One of the key points will be to see how the Xperia Tablet Z lines up against the iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
The launch of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z brings the release of some official photos as seen above and below. Just like its counterpart – the Sony Xperia Z 4G Phone – it looks stunning from every angle. It comes with a 10.1 Mobile Bravia 2 touchscreen display and includes Sony’s “Reality Display” which brings virtually perfect colour production to the full HD display running at an impressive display resolution of 1920x1200 pixels.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z – how fit is it ?
A stunning tablet like the Sony Xperia Tablet Z needs to be of a slim physique and as it is only 6.9mm in depth and weighs only 495 grams it fits into this category and complements the elegant yet angular outlines of the Tablet Z.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z – is it a powerhouse ?
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is loaded with a quad-core 1.5 GHz mobile processor interfacing with 32GB of on-board memory and 2GB of Random Access Memory. The good bit that is it comes with 4G connectivity plus 3G and Wi-Fi. The main camera is an 8.1 megapixel and will suffice for the majority of users.
Just like its sister device – the Sony Xperia Z 4G phone – the Z tablet is both dust resistance and water proof. We saw the Xperia Z phone being dunked in water and we wonder who will be first to try this with the Xperia Z tablet !
The one missing piece of information not confirmed by Sony is when will it be ready to buy. The rumour is that the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will launch this month in Japan and rollout thereafter into Europe.
