Berwick just got faster for EE 4G customers

3rd April 2017

EE is arguably the best network for 4G in the UK, thanks to its almost complete population coverage and very high speeds, and it’s getting better all the time, as evidenced by the fact that Berwick upon Tweed in Northumberland has just had another 4G site switched on by EE.

That means that if you weren’t getting EE’s 4G service in your part of Berwick before you likely will now, and even if you were your coverage should now be more reliable and consistent across the town.

Speaking to the Berwick Advertiser, an EE spokesperson said: “We want our customers to have the best possible mobile experience wherever they go, and this latest site is another part of our unique commitment to expand our 4G network to cover 95% of the UK’s geography by 2020”

EE’s coverage checker now lists its Berwick coverage at a strength of four out of five, with great outdoor coverage and good indoor coverage. But EE isn’t the only network with 4G in Berwick, in fact Three, O2 and Vodafone all list strong 4G coverage there too, so you should be well served for speedy mobile data whichever network you’re on.

EE’s been busy elsewhere too though, also recently bringing 4G to Sidmouth, Ilfracombe, Midsomer Norton and Wymondham, with Swaledale set to get a 4G upgrade soon.

EE already has over 97% UK population coverage and covers more than three quarters of the UK geography with its 4G network, so it’s ahead of any other UK network for 4G coverage and well on its way to reaching its goal of 95% geographic coverage.
