Asda Mobile now offers 4G speeds and free data

6th April 2017

Asda Mobile was late to the 4G party, but it’s finally arrived. Now the network offers 4G as standard at no extra cost on all of its plans and to celebrate the launch it’s giving away 2GB of extra data absolutely free on all 30-day bundles, excluding Talk and Text and Data Only bundles.

That data will last 30 days and can recur (if you let your bundle recur) until the 27th of June, when the offer ends.

You can get up to 6GB of monthly data on Asda Mobile, so this promotion will bring that up to 8GB – and remember, that’s speedy 4G data now.

Asda Mobile also lets you use your data for tethering, which wasn’t especially useful when limited to 3G speeds, but now it should really come into its own, letting you stream HD video and browse the web on bigger screens when out and about.

But even if you’re not interested in tethering, you’re likely to find 4G useful, as data on your phone will be far speedier too, often approaching home broadband speeds.

And as Asda Mobile uses EE for its infrastructure it’s got brilliant 4G coverage – over 97% of the UK population is covered in fact, and that figure is increasing rapidly.

Note however that if you’ve been with Asda for over a year your SIM card might not support 4G, so if you’re unsure get in touch with them to find out if you’ll need a new one.

If you’re not already with Asda Mobile there’s more than just 4G to tempt you, as the network also offers competitive prices and as all its plans are just 30 days long it’s more flexible than most networks.
