LG F70 phone
While all eyes are on the LG G3, or will be once it’s announced at any rate, LG is also giving the middle of the market some love with the LG F70.
The F70 has fairly typical specs for a mid range phone, with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM keeping it running smoothly and a 5 megapixel camera ensuring it can take good if not great photos.
It’s also one of a growing number of mid range phones with 4G LTE support, so you can get super fast internet on the move.
LG describes it as having a “slim body”, though at 10mm thick we’d question that. Still, it looks reasonable if plain, with a plastic build.
It has a 4.5 inch 480 x 800 IPS LCD screen with a pixel density of 207 pixels per inch, so its not the sharpest phone around, not even the sharpest mid range one, but it gets the job done and while the screen isn’t quite as crisp as we’d like it has reasonably rich colours.
The LG F70 has just 4GB of onboard storage, but that’s expandable by up to 32GB more with a microSD card. It runs the latest version of Android and comes with LG’s KNOCK Code, allowing you to turn on the screen or unlock the phone with a series of knocks. It’s a great feature and this is the first mid range LG offering to support it.
