Apple iPhone 5 Review Our Apple iPhone 5 Review concluded There is no question at all that the iPhone 5 is the best ever iPhone. But we didn’t doubt that at the start. Is it all that an iPhone could be”.

Apple iPhone 5

It has a 4 inch 640 x 1136 screen for widescreen viewing and a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. 4 inches might be a bit smaller than most flagship phones but the actual quality of the screen is superb, as it delivers natural colours and deep contrasts between whites and blacks.

The iPhone 5 might only have a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM but that’s never slowed Apple down before and the iPhone 5 is no exception, delivering performance that could rival a quad-core Android phone.

Its 1440 mAh battery isn’t huge either, but the iPhone 5 isn’t all that power hungry so it still delivers a decently long battery life.

With 16, 32 or 64GB of built in storage you need never run low on space, though there’s no micro SD card slot so choose wisely.

Siri is one of the main selling points of the iPhone 5. It’s a built in voice based personal assistant that’s on hand 24/7 to give you hands free control of your phone.

Running iOS 6, the iPhone 5 gives users access to Apple’s slick albeit closed off eco system, complete with iTunes and the most well stocked app store there is, with millions of games, utilities and other apps.

The iPhone 5 supports Ultrafast 3G and 4G LTE and has an 8 megapixel camera to keep snappers happy and which also lets users shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Apple iPhone 5 Release Date & Price

The iPhone 5 has been available since September of last year and as it’s such a major handset you should be able to find it pretty much anywhere that sells smartphones- though the 4G version is only available on EE. However it’s likely to be available on Three’s 4G network once that goes live in December.

The iPhone 5 is available SIM free from around £490, putting it in competition with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and out-pricing pretty much every other phone on the market. The 3G version of the handset is available on contract from around £31 a month, while on 4G it will currently set you back around £41 a month.
