US : SK Telecom Co., South Korea's largest cell phone operator, launched Wednesday a test-run of high-speed, wireless Internet service with start-up developer Flarion Technologies. In
an area around its research and development center in Bundang, south
of Seoul, SK Telecom showcased the fourth-generation (4G) network, which
can pipe data to and from mobile devices at speeds of up to one megabit
per second, akin to a broadband Internet connection. |
