The launch of ASSET 7.0 and CONNECT 7.0, the latest releases of its popular optimisation and planning software, has been announced by AIRCOM International. These new updates have been designed to ensure that future proofing is built into both ASSET and CONNECT so that they will be able to work with the LTE and WiMAX mobile broadband technologies for 4G mobile networking.
Prior to deployment, operators will now be able to effectively model their radio access networks. They will in addition be able to optimise their deployment of new technologies in existing radio networks that use multi-vendor and multi-technology bases, so that customer experience and revenue can be maximised.
Using ASSET, operators will be able to plan mobile networks more efficiently and increase their coverage by up to 10% and multiply productivity, as well as see a 60% reduction in the number of sites required.
For those involved in network design, ASSET is a one-stop shop for the planning and optimisation of multi-technology networks. Time and money can be saved by using its advanced capabilities in network design when the network is deployed, as time-consuming tasks such as traffic and parameter planning, site configuration, network analysis, and dimensioning can be automated.
Productivity packs that cover a range of requirements are optional and can be added whenever they are required; creating a fully customised solution that is able to cope efficiently with changing requirements. These packs include the likes of ADVANTAGE, a cell-planning module that allows operators to arrive at better business decisions as various network configurations are tried out.
