RAYSPAN MTM-E
![]() |
The RAYSPAN MTM-E is an antenna that has the ability to support over six operating bands, within the frequency ranges 689 MHz-960 MHz in the low band and 1710-2170 MHz and 2.6 GHz in the high band, without the need to use any form of switching element or matching circuit.
One of the most prominent features of the RAYSPAN MTM-E is that it provides LTE enhanced frequencies, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G from a single antenna that can be integrated into various portable devices such as mobile phones, laptops, dongles and wireless internet devices.
Design Features
The MTM-E uses a unique 2D design that is currently not being utilised by other platforms such as WiMax. This design uses copper artwork that is directly printed onto the PCB (printed circuit board). This technology allows the MTM-E structure to be made up of very fine line widths and spacing. This not only simplifies integration but also causes the device to require less power.
The RAYSPAN MTM-E is in line with the LTE standard, meaning that it has MIMO technology (multiple input, multiple output) that uses two individual antennas which are operational over the same frequency band, from the same location and at the same time. The MIMO gain performance offers a greater than 50% efficiency value in free-space allowing more room for applications, higher performance than -10db in field isolation, and also higher performance than 0.3 far-field envelop correlation coefficient. The other LTE MIMO is used to access GPS and 3G applications.
The RAYSPAN MTM-E is efficient for laptop integration, USB dongles, mobile phone handsets and other forms of mobile technology equipment.
