School Of 3G LTE & Advanced Communications Launched

The School of LTE & Advanced Communications has been revealed by a major provider of technology related business training within the worldwide telecoms industry, Informa Telecoms Academy.

The school provides a wide range of training courses that look into technologies focused on the development and deployment of Advanced Communications and LTE networks. The Training Director of the Informa Telecoms Academy, Tony Wakefield, explained that as networks move towards 4G so Long Term Evolution (LTE) will become a major technology option. Therefore, it is vital that it is understood from a business and technical viewpoint. The school aims to educate all staff within the sector, so that the benefits of LTE can be fully taken advantage of.

LTE was founded by 3GPP and has been recognised by 3G/UMTS networks as the best route towards 4G wireless. In fact, a number of network operators have already signed up to LTE networks. LTE allows users to access quicker data rates and is spectrally efficient.

Comprehensive market updates will be included in all programmes used by the School of LTE & Advanced Communications. This will ensure that, along with regulatory and commercial subjects, there will also be access to the most recent LTE enhanced up-dates.

At present the school offers nine programmes that range from introductory to certified levels. The courses offered are:

  • LTE Architecture & Protocols.
  • LTE Air Interface.
  • LTE Explained.
  • Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).
  • Informa Certified LTE Radio Planning Professional.
  • IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).
  • Technologies for Convergence & Multimedia-Service Networks.
  • Informa Certified Advanced Core Network Planning Professional.
