The conference program for the second 4G Wireless Evolution Conference (4GWE) has been released by Technology Marketing Corporation and Crossfire Media. It will take place on September 1 - 3, 2009, in Los Angeles.
It has been heralded as the first event of its kind to look specifically at the issues and challenges facing the evolution and deployment of the 4G wireless network. It aims to provide information relevant to the whole 4G ecosystem concerning applications, technological options, the time frames involved and the issues facing 4G mobile broadband.
4GWE has been designed to cater to all members of the new age community including fixed carrier, mobile network operators, manufacturers of mobile Internet devices, handset manufacturers, venture capitalists and application providers.
The partner and community developer for Crossfire Media, Carl Ford, explained that 4GWE is aimed at educating those concerned with this new technology about the most recent developments and opportunities available. The best way to address these issues is through a networking forum in which innovators can present the latest findings.
As well as conference sessions, there will also be training courses that will cover backhaul and LTE. A number of 4G topics will be discussed including:
- Mobile Broadband: New Applications and New Business Models.
- The World of WiMax.
- The Ecosystem of Application Developers.
- FemtoCell Solutions.
- Qualcomm HSPDA The Next step.
- Optimiying the RAN.
- Spectrum Maps.
- Mobile Internet Devices: The Fixed is Embedded.
- Social Applications: The Mobile Imperative.
