The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Sells 5 Million Units

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

There are currently two versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and these are the 3G enabled version and the 4G enabled LTE version. The original Samsung Galaxy Note 2 went on sale in August 2012 and the 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in late September – and in the UK this November.

So far, Samsung has racked up over 5 million sales for both versions but have not broken these figures down. 4G know that 3 million sales of the 3G version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 were achieved by Samsung back in late October. It’s fair to assume then that Samsung are selling a sizeable number of the 4G version as monthly sales have doubled since the introduction of the 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Of course, here in the UK the only place to buy the 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is with EE ( which owns Orange and T-Mobile ) who became the UK’s only 4G mobile operator a few weeks ago.

The introduction of the original Galaxy Note with its over-sized touchscreen triggered the use of the term “phablet” which arose as it was labelled with being a cross-over between a smartphone and a tablet. So 4G guess that with the introduction of the 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 2 we now have a “4G phablet”.

The 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes in White and Titanium Grey, has download speeds of up to five times greater than 3G, is 151 x 81 x 9 mm in size and weighs 183 grams, it has a HD Super AMOLED screen ( 720 x 1280 resolution ) measuring 5.55 inches and comes with an advanced S-Pen.

Of course, it runs on Android Jelly Bean ( Android 4.1 ) with its power coming via the Samsung Exynos 4412 1600 Megahertz processor supported by 2 Gigabytes of RAM and 15 Gigabytes of ROM. Connectivity is via 4G LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi.

Other goodies included are Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS. The rear camera is 8 Megapixels with autofocus, optical zoom, macromode and an LED flash. The secondary camera is 2 Megapixels. There are further features of the Galaxy Note II LTE such as Air View, S Note and S Planner. are readying ourselves to undertake our 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Review and as soon as we finish this it will be posted here.
