HTC One SV – Mid-Range 4G Phone Coming to EE

HTC One SV

HTC has today announced a new 4G phone which is called the HTC One SV. The HTC One SV will be the latest addition to EE’s ( which owns Orange and T-Mobile ) range of 4G phones in the next few weeks.

The current range of 4G phones stocked by EE are mainly the manufacturers flagship versions e.g. the Nokia 920 or higher end 4G phones such as the iPhone 5 – so the addition of the mid-range HTC One SV will be a more economical choice for many 4G customers.

Even though this is a mid-range 4G phone with download speeds of five times greater than 3G it also comes with an impressive specification. This includes a 4.3 inch LCD2 touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, it is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, comes with  1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board memory. This can be expanded by up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The HTC One SV has a 5 megapixel main camera and a secondary camera of 1.3 megapixels. The main camera supports one-press Continuous Shooting , VideoPic and offers advanced low-light performance.

The Android operating system is Android Ice Cream Sandwich ( Android 4.0 ) and while 4G would have preferred to have seen Android Jelly Bean ( Android 4.1 ) this of course can be updated. The HTC One XL ( also a 4G phone ) has just received PlayStation Mobile Certification so hopefully the One SV will gain this too. Beats Audio technology is standard which ensures it offers studio-quality sound with pumping bass.

The HTC One SV comes in a range of colours as shown but will initially launch in Pyrenees blue and Glacier White and as yet there is no official launch date other than HTC has confirmed it will be available in the next few weeks.

4G.co.uk look forward to getting our hands on a review phone and then we can post our HTC One XL 4G Phone Review at the earliest opportunity.
