4G.co.uk has already posted a few articles about the HTC M7 – the latest 4G enabled flagship smartphone from HTC. We are still yearning for an official announcement after it was a “no-show” at this months CES Exhibition in Las Vagas so, of course, it must be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month ?
Well no, the latest M7 news via the “jungle drums” is that HTC will release the HTC M7 at a scheduled press conference in London on the 19th February – a few days ahead of MWC. 4G are thinking this could prove to be a smart marketing ploy from HTC as there were so few new 4G phones announced at CES there must be a “busload” to be unveiled at MWC and so HTC miss the stampede of new phone releases during MWC.
HTC M7 – what’s the deal
Up till now the information has centred around the specification of the HTC-M7, but now we have a leaked photo via Android Police. Just like all the other Android 4G phones already announced this year or that we know are coming soon, the HTC M7 will come with Android 4.1 ( Jelly Bean ).
A flagship 4G phone needs some top-end technology and the HTC-M7 has been linked to rumours before that suggest the display screen will come with a 4.7 inch touchscreen display which has a resolution of an impressive 468 PPI ( 1920 x 1080 pixels ).
The 4G mobile processing power will be driven by the 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor coupled to 2GB of Random Access Memory and 32GB of on board memory. The main camera will be 13 megapixels and of course the HTC-M7 is 4G enabled for the UK.
Just to say the image above is only a “render” of the HTC-M7 but certainly gives an idea of the finished article. More on the HTC-M7 as we near the announcement date and we will aim to get our HTC M7 Review completed as soon as we get our mitts on it.
