Netflix coming to Vodafone 4G
One of the best things about Vodafone’s 4G network is the extras you get with it. Right now customers have a choice of either Sky Sports Mobile or Spotify Premium, both of which are great services which you might want anyway, and both of which are fairly high value, with Spotify Premium going for £9.99 per month ordinarily and Sky Sports Mobile costing £4.99 per month but with a Vodafone Red 4G contract they’re free.
Now Vodafone is adding to its selection by giving customers the option of a Netflix subscription to go with their 4G. From July any new or upgrading customer that takes out a Vodafone Red 4G plan costing £26 or more will be eligible for a 6 month Netflix subscription, where the usual price is £5.99 per month. Even if you’re already a Netflix subscriber Vodafone can cover your bill for six months.
Along with Spotify Premium and Sky Sports Mobile it’s one more great way to take advantage of a superfast 4G connection, by enabling you to stream movies and TV shows on the move, including Netflix originals like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.
Cindy Rose, Vodafone UK’s Consumer Director says: “With 4G, speed is just the start. It’s what you can do with it that’s really exciting. We’re delighted to be partnering with Netflix so that our Red 4G customers can enjoy their favourite TV programmes and films when out and about.
“We’re already offering 4G in hundreds of cities, towns and villages across the UK, providing an amazing video streaming experience. There’s no need to mess about finding a Wi-Fi hotspot, with ultrafast 4G you can just enjoy your favourite entertainment on the move whenever you want it.”
Vodafone doesn’t have as widespread coverage as EE, as low prices as Tesco or the unlimited data bundles offered by Three, but its extras are definitely among the best around and once Netflix gets added they’ll be even better.
