Pay as you go 4G comes to Vodafone at a promising price

Pay as you go 4G comes to Vodafone

Vodafone’s been offering 4G on contract for around a year now and it’s finally offering it on pay as you go too, making it cheaper than ever to get into the 4G game, especially as the network sells a 4G handset for as little as £79.

The phone in question is the Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo and it’s one of the cheapest 4G handsets available. It’s not a bad little phone either, with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 display and a 5 megapixel camera.

To get it for £79 you also have to buy one of Vodafone’s new pay as you go £20 Freedom Freebee’s, which includes 2GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and 500 minutes valid for 30 days.

That’s one of several new 4G pay as you go bundles. There’s also a £30 one, which includes unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 4GB of 4G data along with a choice of Sky Sports Mobile TV or Spotify Premium included to help you make the most of your 4G allowance.

Then there’s a £40 Freedom Freebee, which comes with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 6GB of 4G data, along with Sky Sports Mobile TV or Spotify Premium and again both of these are valid for 30 days.

To get you started with a bang Vodafone is even throwing in unlimited 4G data with the first 4G Freedom Freebee that you buy, so you can work out exactly how much data you’re likely to need.

Vodafone’s 4G network has struggled to compete so far, but the launch of pay as you go should certainly help and the network is investing £1 billion into improvements this year alone which is also likely to help in the long run.
